I’ve been a loyal customer of the Subway in Droitwich for years, but after my most recent experience, I honestly won’t be going back. I placed a delivery order worth £30. To be fair, the food arrived quickly and it was still warm — no complaints there.
But the moment we opened one of the sandwiches, everything went downhill. Right through the middle of it was a long hair — and I mean long. It was absolutely disgusting. It completely put both me and my partner off our food and the whole thing went straight in the bin.
I phoned the Subway store straight away to let them know, expecting at least an apology or some sort of solution. Instead, the person on the phone was unfriendly, barely apologetic, and basically brushed me off. Their only suggestion was to “go through the delivery app,” and now I’ve found out that the delivery service doesn’t offer any compensation for this kind of issue anyway.
For me, this is basic food hygiene. A long hair like that should never end up in someone’s meal. I understand that mistakes happen — a moustache hair or something small could slip through — but this wasn’t anything like that. Do they not use hairnets? Do they not check food before sending it out?
What’s annoyed me the most isn’t even the hair itself, but the way they handled it. No care, no proper apology, no attempt to make things right. After years of choosing this Subway over others, I’m genuinely annoyed and extremely disappointed.
I won’t be returning.

Ordered a 6’’ Teryaki chicken sub. The lady serving me didn’t put much chicken on it so I politely asked if I could have more chicken. She looked at me and said ‘’ what, you want double chicken?’’
I replied, ‘’no, I’d like the correct amount of chicken please’’.
Then the guy that took my money, who I think was the manager wasn’t very polite or friendly.
I won’t be going back to this droitwich subway again. Awful customer service and rather rude.
