I went to this Subway at around 12:30 today, and while it started off great, it ended up being a really disappointing experience. Despite a queue of about 20 people, the young man at the first station was doing an amazing job. He was polite, friendly, and working incredibly quickly to make all the sandwiches, even though he looked completely exhausted.
Unfortunately, things slowed down dramatically at the second station. The woman there, Macey, had a terrible attitude and didn’t seem interested in doing her job at all. She was moving around lethargically, barely helping, and spent more time trying to look busy than actually doing anything. At one point, I counted 7 or 8 sandwiches piling up, and she didn’t seem the least bit bothered. She was completely unenthusiastic and really let her team down.
It was only when the young man came over to finish everything himself that things started moving again. Watching one person work so hard, only to be let down by someone else’s laziness and bad attitude, was really disappointing. By the time I got my food, it was cold despite being toasted. The experience could have been so much better if there had been even a little teamwork or effort from all staff members—and if Macey had actually put in a shift!
