  The gyoza were delicious! Service was indifferent. Had to ask 3 different servers for water and my partner's meal arrived a good 10 minutes after mine, and only then after asking when we might expect it. Will not return.

  Ordered a takeaway delivery from this wagamamas, who completely messed up our order. As you can clearly see in this receipt they missed an entire dish and they packed 2 chicken gyoza instead of one beef and one chicken. When we called to highlight this, a horribly rude man BERATED my mother calling her rude and telling her “to do what she’s supposed to”. They refused to resend our order or issue a refund. Disgusting behaviour and awful service.

  First time visiting Wagamama on Lothian Road today. The staff were very friendly and explained how everything works, including that the dishes may arrive at different times. Each item on the menu has a number, and the server writes your order directly on the paper placemat, which was quite a fun little detail. We ordered the chicken and prawn yaki udon and a seafood ramen. Both dishes were quite mild in flavour, although soy sauce and chilli oil are available on the table if you want to add a bit more seasoning. The food was okay overall and nicely presented. I would describe Wagamama as more of an Asian-inspired restaurant adapted to local tastes, rather than somewhere to go for very traditional Asian flavours. The lunch deal was £14 for a main and a drink, which I thought was reasonable. Blue Light Card holders also get 20% off the regular menu (the lunch deal is excluded). The seating was comfortable and the service was lovely. It was quite busy and a little noisy during lunchtime, but overall we had a pleasant first visit.
