  Frequently visit this tesco, never had any issues, but recently bought a pack of jam tarts and reality the time I got home that they were 5 days out of date. Returned them th next day, and had to wait for the manager to approve a refund. No apology from either member of staff involved, just 'okay here's your refund'

  My friend was accused of theft after putting her purse in her bag, security came & escalated the issue, instead of de-escalating "the member of staff who challenged my friend had already looked in her bag & walked away" as the bag contained only personal items. Security then demanded to see the bag I was carrying despite the fact he had not observed me doing anything wrong "I obliged " & again personal items. Too quick to accuse honest customers . I spoke with the manager previously & he advised me that they would not miss my business if I shop elsewhere. Had a unnecessary long confrontation with q security guard who despite finding no wrong doing, insisted on escalation. Poor show from Tesco staff, security & manager . Seriously considering taking my business elsewhere as I refuse to be treated like that by anyone
