  The security guard makes me smile every single day and genuinely brightens my day. He always greets everyone so warmly and somehow manages to make each person feel special. I’ve honestly never seen anything quite like it in my life.

  The store appears to be seriously understaffed. I understand that working under constant pressure can be extremely stressful, and I appreciate that the staff may be doing their best. However, this should not result in customers being shouted at. Good customer service requires staff to remain calm, patient, and professional, even during busy periods. I hope the management will consider hiring more employees so that staff have the support they need and customers can enjoy a more respectful shopping experience.

  This place is shocking! I have been shopping here for over 10 years as it’s local & the staff these days are abysmal compared to how it used to be. There is a blonde Eastern European female who works there (the duty manager I think) and she is so rude, especially to female customers. She will always have a smile and openly flirt with male customers, I have even heard her talk about her sex life when I have been in with my grandsons. She is constantly outside smoking and never seems to work but is always delegating to other staff. This woman has no customer care whatsoever and she is a disgrace to Tesco and makes me feel so uncomfortable. I try to shop elsewhere when I can but as a wheelchair user who doesn’t drive it’s quite difficult to shop anywhere else. Please do something about this. From a loyal customer.

  I went in for a meal deal and the discount didn't apply at the self-checkout, so I pressed the assistant button — which is what the button is there for. The first colleague who came over was perfectly fine. He suggested the ice cream might not be included and I said I'd happily go and swap it. Then a second member of staff came over and said no, it was the drink that wasn't included. When I said I thought I'd picked it up from the meal deal section, she told me I should read every label properly and not waste her time. I said, quietly, that I thought I remembered seeing it there — I wasn't arguing with her, I was just answering. She raised her voice and told me I was definitely wrong, then offered to bet me £10 that I was, and asked whether I dared take the bet. She kept going, loudly, in front of a queue of other customers, until I gave up and said "maybe, I'm not sure." I never raised my voice or insisted on anything. At no point did I ask for the discount or push back — I had already said I'd go and swap the item. To be clear: I had picked up the wrong drink. I accept that. I swapped it and the whole thing took under a minute. One sentence — "the meal deal drinks are on the shelf below" — would have resolved it. Instead I was lectured at volume in front of strangers over a thirty-second mistake, and left the store feeling humiliated. It's also worth saying that two members of staff gave me two different answers about which item wasn't included, so it evidently isn't as obvious as she insisted it was. I don't expect anything from this review. I'd just rather no one else has the same experience over something this small.
