  Just visited Bar and Block Edinburgh this afternoon for Sunday roast beef meal. I am sorry to have to say it wasn’t very good. I had to send it back twice , it was served to me barely warm. The cauliflower cheese bought as an extra £4.50, was cold felt like straight out of the fridge. Pretty bland and ordinary , sorry to say. Poor value!

  ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great value steakhouse in a fantastic Princes Street location! 🥩🏰 A really enjoyable meal at Bar + Block Steakhouse Edinburgh. 😋 📍 The location is excellent – right on Princes Street, opposite Edinburgh Castle, making it a very convenient stop while exploring the city. 🏰✨ The restaurant itself is spacious and comfortable, so you can sit back, relax and enjoy your meal without feeling cramped. The waiting staff were polite, friendly and very professional throughout. 😊👏 We were particularly impressed by the weekday set menu, which offers very good value for money. 💷🥩 The food was nicely presented too – it certainly didn't feel like a cheap set meal. Prices are reasonable for such a central Edinburgh location, and there are plenty of choices on the menu, so there's something to suit different tastes and budgets. 👍 Great location + comfortable surroundings + good service + excellent value = an easy 5 stars from us! ❤️ ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 王子街靚地段＋抵食扒房！🥩🏰 今次去 Bar + Block Steakhouse Edinburgh 食飯，整體體驗相當好： 📍 地點非常方便，餐廳位於愛丁堡市中心 Princes Street 王子街，正面對住 Edinburgh Castle 愛丁堡城堡 🏰，行街或者遊覽完景點過嚟食飯都好方便。 餐廳入面比想像中寬敞舒服，唔會坐到逼逼夾夾，可以輕輕鬆鬆 Chill 住慢慢食。🥩🍷😊 服務亦值得一讚，侍應有禮、醒目又專業，成個用餐過程令人感覺舒服。👏 💷 最有驚喜係 Weekday Set Menu 平日特餐，價錢幾抵食，而且就算係優惠套餐，擺盤一樣有心思、有賣相和用料十足。😋✨ 以愛丁堡市中心呢個地段嚟講，價錢算幾親民，而且餐牌選擇多，想食得經濟啲又得，想食豐富啲亦得，真正豐儉由人。 👍🥩 地點靚 🏰｜環境舒服 🛋️｜服務好 😊｜價錢合理 💷｜抵食度高 👍

  We stayed in a hotel near the restaurant and decided to give it a try. It’s surprisingly good. Friendly staff and delicious food. Three of us all enjoyed our meal.

  Had a meal here with some friends after seeing a show at the fringe. Food was lovely and we were well looked after by our servers Amelie and Aarron who were very friendly and helpful.

  Where do I start? Waited ages to be seated, even although we had booked online prior! Especially, considering an elderly family member with a walking stick had to stand for a while. Not only that, waited nearly an hour for our meal, too! When it arrived, we ordered steaks (not cheap!) with a sauce ( which was extra, yet didn’t arrive until we reminded the staff) The steaks came with chips or potatoes but no veg? My wife ordered sea bass and ask for the skin to be crispy, yet the whole fish was mushy with onions and broccoli piled high, but no roast tatties, only boiled potatoes. It was a mess and she sent it back. Offered something else, but everyone had eaten their meal by then and didn’t want to wait another hour. No real apology from the manager, who seemed like he didn’t care. On leaving, we asked for the bill. The waiter enthusiastically stated that the manager had taken the sea bass off the bill. Considering, my wife sent the meal back, why would she pay? In fact, good customer service for the hassle, would have offered a free drink or dessert. Really bad customer service from the manager!
