New customers can also get a free hot drink of their choice, just for downloading the app. The Greggs Foundation aims to build stronger, healthier communities across nine principle programmes including 'The Breakfast Club programme', which helps primary school children get a nutritious start to their school day. Today there are over 680 Breakfast Clubs across the UK, serving wholesome, free breakfasts to around 44,000 children every school day- that's 8.5 million meals a year.

We travel all over the country and have stopped at literally hundreds of Greggs because we absolutely love it, but Paula genuinely left us stunned by her service. She was incredibly friendly, kind, fast, cheerful and had the biggest smile. Nothing was too much trouble, and she made the whole experience feel genuinely welcoming. You could tell that she really cares about the customers and takes pride in what she does. We also want to mention the other members of staff working at the time, as they were all just as friendly, helpful and on the same level of excellent service. The whole team had a great attitude and worked really well together, which really added to the experience. Paula truly embodies everything you would want a Greggs team member to be. She is an absolute credit to the Tow Law store and to Greggs as a whole. We’ve been to an awful lot of Greggs, but Paula and her team really stood out from the crowd. They deserve to be recognised for the fantastic service they give. Thank you, Paula and team you were all brilliant! ❤️

What happens to your leftover food?
We’ve been donating unsold food for a long time. Originally our bakeries would team up with large charities who would help distribute it to smaller organisations.
This process remains in place, though we’ve also worked hard to increase the amount of unsold food donated by our shops and we currently support a network of 1,077 local good causes.
In 2022, we redistributed 1,800 tonnes of unsold food through our Outlet shops. A share of the profits from the outlets, totalling £450,000, was then donated back into the communities we serve.
