On the eve of our wedding we decided to have a family meal here on a Friday evening. It wasnt too busy and we were seated immediately eventhough we hadn't booked a table. The staff were friendly and helpful and we didn't have to wait long to be served. The soft drinks we ordered came with ice although we didn't ask for it and the coke didn't taste right unfortunately. The food itself was very nice and everybody was full and satisfied. It was an expensive meal but we wouldn't eat here again as it was more of a one-off for a special occasion. The restaurant itself was boiling and had no fans or air conditioning on a very hot day which was a tad disappointing 😐
This place has really gone down hill.
I ordered the 74 double beef burger, my wife got the double crunch chicken burger, and we got a child's margarita pizza for my son.
The triple cooked chips arrived like warm, so they had been sat while the rest of the food cooked. My beef in my burger wasn't seasoned, the barbecue sauce that was stated on the menu was barely there, I asked for a fried egg to be added to the burger but it arrived on a side plate and when questioned about it the waitress didn't offer to take the burger back to reconstruct it (I did it myself), the brioche bun seemed to be just a normal bun that was toasted to the point it's base was rock hard, and the only part that was discernable by taste in the whole burger was the egg.
My wife's burger was dry, again barely any condiment, and the bun didn't seem to be brioche.
My son's cheese and tomato pizza didn't taste of anything. Of the 4 slices he didn't finish 1. My wife and I took a bite out of two of the remaining slices. Absolutely no taste. How can pizza with cheese on it not taste of cheese? He had a side of corn with it. This did indeed taste of corn on the cob.
I took the plates back to the staff where I spoke to the man who greeted me on arrival. I explained all of this to him. He offered to do something for me in response to my complaint. This is why service receives the 2 star rating, for his reaction alone. But if we were to receive anything it should have been that the thing we paid money for in the first place arrive and be delicious and moreish. I shouldn't have to receive a gratuity because they can't serve people. I've eaten at other establishments in the last week were when I finished eating my order, the food was so good I wanted to go and order and eat that exact plate of food immediately. I didn't, but I wanted to.
These three plates of food are the worst I have ever had the misfortune of paying for.

Good is always nice. Service can be a little slow with staff constantly asking do you want a drink. Nice enough for the family

1st time I've been to The Talpore Beefeater in Stockton-on-Tees, everything seemed good, I ordered 2 Steak-well done Egg & chips, 1 Beef Lasagne+extra Fries, I asked for 3 Teas(£7.50)and was charged for 3 Latte(£9.60), when queried I was told, that I could have as many Teas I wanted, that's not the point, I had 1 cup of tea, 2 friends had extra cuppa each. Also told drink's machine is on all the time(so you're paying for electricity!!) The Drink's Menu-it gives you the prices of each drink from Wines, Beers, Spirits, non alcoholic, Teas, Coffee, Hot chocolate. "False advertising", so beware and make sure you get a receipt, which I did!! Or I wouldn't have known.

The ultimate roast 🤣🤣🤣
20 quid for an ultimate roast, we had both had one a while ago and it was okay so went with a safe bet. This was the worst sunday lunch ive ever had, no brocoli, turnip, mash or puddings and they dont do mint sauce. Avoid!!!
