What stands out about this lovely Hotel is the kindness of its proprietors, Katie and Brian and their staff. Their good, old fashioned manners and attention to detail are outstanding. On a practical note, my room was clean, my bed comfortable and to be able to sit in the beautiful back garden, a delightful experience. Full English breakfast was perfect and the dinners, including fish and chips and cottage pie, delicious. The Parkwood Hotel is one of those rare finds in hostelry. It contains a combination of old world charm, coupled with modern day necessities. I heartily recommend Katie and Brian and their team to to you. The Parkwood Hotel is a precious jewel in its northern crown. Enjoy!
