About

BakeryGreggs
Greggs is a British food to go brand, specialising in fresh bakes, sandwiches, hot drinks and sweet treats. Founded in 1939, Greggs started out selling eggs and yeast by pushbike, ten years later the first shop opened on Gosforth High Street, in Newcastle. Now, over 80 years later Greggs is a household name thanks to their tasty Sausage Rolls, Steak Bakes, Chicken Bakes, Doughnuts, Yum Yums and freshly ground Fairtrade Coffee. With shops across the UK, you're never far away from a Greggs. And with new offerings like Click + Collect and delivery to your door with Just Eat, it's never been easier to get your flakey fix. The Greggs App gives customers tasty rewards every time they shop. From sandwiches to sweet treats, hot drinks and bakes, each time you buy a product, you'll get a stamp. Collect nine stamps in a category, and the tenth item will be free. New customers can also get a free hot drink of their choice, just for downloading the app. The Greggs Foundation aims to build stronger, healthier communities across nine principle programmes including 'The Breakfast Club programme', which helps primary school children get a nutritious start to their school day. Today there are over 680 Breakfast Clubs across the UK, serving wholesome, free breakfasts to around 44,000 children every school day- that's 8.5 million meals a year.

Busy wee shop. I hit it at the wrong time as staff were pulled away to make up a big order. Unfortunately Greggs is no longer a value for money shop since the price hikes at the start of the year.

VERY OUTSPOKEN MIDDLE AGE WOMAN WITH ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE. INTERACTION 22.09.26 at 08:00am Went to Tesco and saw Greggs. Bought snack and drink. While paying the Woman asked me If I want a holders said no Asked is this take away said Yes. So prepared my Teas then friend I bought Tea who was outside said Sorry Let me Rush I need to go quickly. So I had an extra Tea with me. I decided I will sit here and drink it as well. Left both Teas on the table and went to pay for Snack from Tesco. While Coming back my Tea they both were removed from the Table. I THINK THIS WAS SO RUDE. FOUND MY TEA NEAR THE BIN AREA. SHE SHOUTED I ASKED YOU ARE TAKE AWAY OR STAYING YOU SAID TAKE AWAY. i said so I am staying inn I asked her Do you want me to pay you to stay inn?? She never answer. I Went to sit down then she came to me and said If you bought food in tesco you are not allow to eat in HERE and I said Sorry. ADVICE IF YOU CHANGE YOUR MIND YOU WILL NEED TO GO BACK AND TELL HER I AM STAYING NOW.

I love the staff and this greggs as a whole but my GOD the toilet just absolutely reeks of urine every single time I’m there. I feel unsafe using this toilet it is absolutely filthy and doesn’t smell like it’s been cleaned in years with visible body fluids on the floors and the facilities. Every single time I come here it is just filthy and it honestly puts you off your food

Frequently Asked Questions About Greggs

What are your opening times?

Opening times for all Greggs shops can be found on our Shop Finder. Just enter your location into the search bar to find opening times, contact details and available facilities.

What happens to your leftover food?

We’ve been donating unsold food for a long time. Originally our bakeries would team up with large charities who would help distribute it to smaller organisations. This process remains in place, though we’ve also worked hard to increase the amount of unsold food donated by our shops and we currently support a network of 1,077 local good causes. In 2022, we redistributed 1,800 tonnes of unsold food through our Outlet shops. A share of the profits from the outlets, totalling £450,000, was then donated back into the communities we serve. We’re no longer taking new applications for end-of-day food donation partners, but we continue to identify regions where our shops could support a local charitable collection.
