Food was very poor quality, won't be visiting again. Menu online looked appealing but when we asked they said that was the old menu, the current menu is extremely limited and poorly presented. No fish, so had chicken tikka curry, was more like tikka soup, only 4 pieces of chicken, sent the naan back, it was soft, white and doughy, looked raw, it came back out 2 minutes later, still white and doughy but with black marks on it possibly from being thrown on the grill and no doubt well handled by the waitress and kitchen staff, couldn't eat it, left it. Won't eat here again, the standard and quality of the food was very poor, we spent £65 to be really disappointed and pissed off. We don't eat out very often, too expensive, this was supposed to be a treat. The ice scream scoop was rock hard, used a knife to chisel bits off, evidently scooped earlier then frozen in a ball to save time later. Everything smacked of poor quality, lack of care and poor food standards. Don't waste your money eating here.

We had breakfast here after staying at the premier inn. Most of the food was average. My mum chose some yoghurt with mixed berries, tried to bite into a strawberry, and realised it was completely frozen. She let the manager know, so that he was aware the food being put out wasn’t ready to serve, and his response was ‘and what am I supposed to do about it’. As we were leaving we overheard the same manager say ‘clearly I’m busy, give me a minute’ when an elderly gentleman asked if there were any clean plates coming out because there were none left. It was obvious that they were very short staffed, but the manager guy was being flat out rude to anyone who spoke to him.

We recently visited Tindale Crossing Brewers Fayre for the Sunday carvery and had a really enjoyable experience. The food was lovely, and the staff were fantastic throughout our visit. A special mention has to go to Wayne, who is always friendly, welcoming, and makes sure we have everything we needed. His excellent customer service and banter really helped make the visit memorable. It is such a shame to hear that the pub will be closing in the near future, as places like this are built around the people who work there and the welcoming atmosphere they create. The team should be proud of the service they provide and the experience they give their customers. Thank you to Wayne and the rest of the team for a great Sunday lunch. We will see you all over the coming weeks but it will be missed, and we wish everyone all the best for the future.
