  Genuinely wondering if this Co-op is closing. Empty shelves, shelving removed, stock in random places, missing ceiling tiles, leaks, buckets and puddles throughout the store. It increasingly feels like a branch being decommissioned rather than maintained. I raised concerns with Co-op previously and unfortunately it has only got worse. If it isn’t closing, it desperately needs investment and repairs. I also feel for the staff having to work in these conditions every day — this is clearly not a criticism of them. Also they spelt Wimborne wrong, which sums up how much they care!

  ​Title: Fantastic daytime team ruined by toxic, lazy evening customer service I used to pop into the Wimborne Co-op routinely every Tuesday evening after sports training, but the stark contrast between the daytime and evening shifts has completely ruined the experience. ​The staff who work during the day are genuinely lovely, polite, and helpful. In contrast, the evening and night team—even as early as 7:00 PM—suffers from a persistent culture of poor customer service. Just over a year ago, I experienced a completely unprofessional moment where two evening staff members were whispering about customers over their headsets and laughing. I purposely held off on writing a review at the time because I didn't think it was fair to judge the entire store or the good staff based on one incident. ​However, coming back recently, it's clear the evening attitude hasn't improved—and talking to a former employee confirmed that gossiping over the earpieces was a regular habit among certain staff. On a recent late visit, the young lad on the till couldn't even be bothered to put his personal phone down. There was zero greeting, no offer of a bag, no ask for a Co-op card, and barely a word spoken during the transaction. Most of the good evening staff seem to have transferred elsewhere, leaving behind a shift that simply does not want to be there. ​If you need to shop here, stick to the daytime hours when the polite team is working. The evening shift still desperately needs proper management and a basic attitude check.
