We came here for dinner whilst on holiday at the nearby Haven Seaview holiday park. Lovely clean restaurant, service was very prompt and friendly. Excellent choice of menu, portions good and good value. Definitely visit again when were back this way.

1 star for looks of the pub. Don't book a table online 8 o'clock. When we turned up there must of been ten tables all eating. I approached a member of staff and said we had booked and was told there was a problem with the gas even though she had just bought a table there food.

We had my son's 4th birthday party there as he wanted the pizza party after seeing a poster for it. It was brilliant he had 14 friends all sat together making their own pizzas which were then cooked in the fire engine truck. Chef hats and aprons were provided, pizzas base and all the toppings. I would most definitely recommend this as a birthday party option. I see there's an adult pizza party's with prosecco which I'm egar to book with the girls.

Great location as we were staying on the Haven seaview site. Excellent themed decor and garden area. They have a feature firetruck that they cook pizza from. Pizzas were ok- nothing to rave about. Drinks were reasonably priced. However, we had our pizza on our table and needed drinks. So hubby went in and was served quickly but the tills went down. Unavoidable- it happens. But... they made him stand there and wait almost 15 minutes and refused to let him return to his table to eat! Absolutely unacceptable. We finished our cold food and left. Pizza chef was a friendly chatty guy and the ladies that served our first drinks were also very welcoming and helpful. - shame about the small dark haired server who clearly has no customer service training!

The Spice Ship Pub has a lovely location, offering a charming atmosphere that makes it a pleasant spot to enjoy a drink. However, the experience quickly falters when it comes to the food. While the service was decent, the culinary offerings left much to be desired. Given its proximity to the sea, I expected high-quality seafood, but the fish and chips were absolutely diabolical. The oil tasted stale, and the cod's texture was disappointingly subpar. The chicken Katsu curry was equally disappointing; it was so poorly executed that I found it unfit for human consumption. In fact, I ended up asking for a doggy bag just to avoid wasting it. There were a couple of redeeming items—the prawns were nice—but overall, I would advise finding somewhere else to eat if you’re looking for a satisfying meal. The Spice Ship Pub has potential with its location, but the food needs significant improvement to match the setting.
