Having booked a table for 7.00pm on a Friday night for six of us to celebrate my daughters birthday we were left very disappointed. The service was appalling. After waiting 50 minutes we asked a waitress where our food was and she didn't bother to come back with an update. We waited another 10 minutes and gave up. Left the pub with no dinner. We spoke to the manager who was apologetic but this didn't make up for a ruined birthday evening. Obviously no pictures or review of the food as we never got that far.

Visited the pub a couple weeks ago for a Saturday meal. Service was great, food was great and was asked regularly if everything was ok and if we wanted any more drinks. After a good experience I thought would book in for Sunday lunch on father's day with my dad and family.
When we arrived the service seemed prompt but to find out table was not set up, our cutlery was just placed on the table and no napkins given.
Ordered food and drinks within about 10 minutes of arrival. Starters for two came out within half an hour of ordering which was great. After this the service went very down hill.
We waited roughly an hour and a half before we had to chase our food. We asked the staff if our food had been forgotten and the reply was due to us having starters your food has taken longer. We noticed that there was tables in after us that even had their food before us.
We have family that work in this sector and for sure it does not take nearly 2 hours to get you mains with a starter in-between. The table was booked early afternoon and it was nearly 4pm before we had our main food to the point we were going to pay for what we had and leave without eating.
We were offered deserts but due to the long wait for our mains we decided not to as we had been there 2 3/4 hours by this time.
Yet again couldn't fault the food but the service on a Sunday was definitely not up to standards and as quick and efficient as what we had on the Saturday. We were offered no extra drinks throughout our time there.
Being locals also and trying to support our local pubs Was really disappointed being father's day to

After visiting a couple of weeks ago for a Saturday evening meal which was perfect except for the seabass risotto which lacked enough risotto for two pieces of fish, we decided to do father's day Sunday lunch booked for 2pm for four people.
We arrived on time , shown to table which was inside and wasnt layed up, we sat and quickly had drinks order and food order taken.
Starter arrived within half an hour, two of us had them and the other two didn't
Then it was all down hill.
No further drinks were offered
After one and a half hours of arriving we chased our main course only to be told they were very busy and where we had starters our main would take longer to come out which is rubbish and we made the waitress aware of this
After one and three quarter hours of arriving our mains finally arrived
Once finished We were offered desserts which we declined as time was now quarter to five
And we weren't sure when we would see them
We settled up for what we had had and left, Two and three quarter hours after arriving
Definitely wouldn't rush back for Sunday lunch

Table booked for 1pm 5 adults 2 children. Drinks order 1 wrong drink 1 drink missing. Food order . 50 mins wait for starters. That only came after I chased it up 3 had prawn cocktail £10. We all only had 4 prawns each . When I mentioned it the waiter just shrugged his shoulders and walked off.after 1.5 hours I had to request 5 year old child's main meal. That took another 20 mins to arrive. After 2.hours I had to request mains. The veg arrived after another 30 mins. 4 main Sunday adult roast arrived and 1 child roast arrived. Other tables were being served their roast dinners After another 15 mins we had to request the 5th adult roast dinner and wait another 15 mins. Staff seemed impatient and we could sense an atmosphere between them. On the plus side the roast dinner was good. The meal wasn't cheap. The very poor service let this restaurant down.. The gardens are nice we would only now visit for a drink

In Weymouth on our holibobs and went to this pub/restaurant almost every evening. The food was fantastic and great value for money. Everyone from the people running the place to the newest waitresses were friendly, helpful and stopped to chat (when they could - it was very busy)
A couple of small problems were dealt with and apologies made but it certainly didn’t stop us going back.
It seems the whole place has recently had a makeover…. Beautifully done and just wait until you see the ladies loos!
