⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Absolutely wonderful pub – wish we'd found it sooner!
We visited The Bridge Inn while staying in Weymouth and honestly couldn’t have been made to feel more welcome.
The owners were incredibly friendly, personable and genuinely caring. You could really see how much they care about their pub, their customers and providing a great experience. Every member of staff we met was so lovely and welcoming, and the whole place had such a warm, friendly and relaxed atmosphere.
The food was honestly beyond our expectations – absolutely delicious, really good quality and so reasonably priced. We couldn’t fault it! We left wanting dessert but were so so full!!
A special mention has to go to the pub dogs too. 🐶❤️ They were absolutely gorgeous and so friendly with our rescue dog, Buddy. This was his first trip away, so he was quite nervous and unsure of things, but the pub dogs were so lovely with him and he settled really well. It was so nice to see him happy and comfortable, and it made the experience even more special for us.
We would absolutely go back and would highly recommend The Bridge Inn to anyone visiting Weymouth. Our only regret is that we didn’t discover it sooner! If we had, we would probably have eaten here most nights during our stay as didnt find it till the last night of our trip.
Oh and the drink selection and bar service was fantastic. So welcoming and the best service.
Thank you to all the team for making us feel so welcome – we had a fantastic experience and will definitely be back! ❤️🐾

We visited on Saturday a group of 8 including my almost 2 year old. Service was appalling. We arrived for 6:15 and didn’t get out until almost 9pm. My toddler watched the entirety of Shrek before her dinner even came out! Our food was absolutely shocking. Myself and my partner both left out food due to the chicken looking pink and us not wanting to challenge it after another on our table being spoken to like dirt when he challenged his. Not one apology was made or manager come over after us complaining multiple times. The absolute worst £70 I’ve EVER spent, couldn’t wait to leave.
We booked a table at The Bridge Inn for 18:15 for a family meal - 6 adults, 1 teenager, and an under-2-year-old. What should have been a lovely evening ended up being an absolute disaster, and we didn't manage to pay our bill and leave until 20:50.
Things started off promisingly; the starters arrived after a bit of a wait and were actually very good. Unfortunately, it came crashing down hard right after.
The red flags began when the waitress took our large party's main meal order completely from memory without writing a single thing down. When you have a table of 8 that includes people with specific food allergies, taking no notes isn't impressive - it’s unnerving and reckless. Predictably, it went downhill fast from there.
We were left waiting 1 hour and 45 minutes for our main courses. During this agonising wait, not once did anyone come over to update us, manage our expectations, or even offer us another round of drinks. What made it particularly infuriating was seeing plenty of staff on shift, several of whom were simply standing around talking to each other while paying customers - including a restless toddler - were completely ignored.
When the food finally arrived, it was a mess. Meals were incorrect, and multiple dishes were cold and had to be sent back immediately.
I ordered the Mixed Grill, which was the very last meal brought to the table. The chicken was stone cold, and half the elements listed on the menu were missing.
According to their menu, the grill comes with grilled tomato, grilled mushroom, and a fried egg. When I pointed out that these were missing, the waitress actually contested it with me before going back to the chef. Even after admitting the mistake, the plate came back with a fried egg, but still no mushroom. After waiting nearly two hours with a baby at the table, having to debate the menu with staff just to get cold, incomplete food is unacceptable.
I am really not one to complain or leave bad reviews, but the utter lack of basic service, poor communication, and terrible food standards tonight forced my hand.
Keeping a family at a table for nearly two and a half hours for cold, incorrect food while staff chat amongst themselves is dreadful. Save your money and take your family elsewhere.

We booked a table for 8 (6 adults, 2 kids) at 6:15 PM so our 2-year-old wouldn't have to eat late. Unfortunately, it was a total letdown from start to finish.
Drinks took 20 minutes to arrive, and mains took a ridiculous 1 hour and 50 minutes.
When the food finally arrived, 3 of the 8 meals were cold and had to be sent back. Another meal was missing 3 items (we asked three times and one item never showed up at all), and the chicken schnitzel was pink and undercooked in the middle.
To top it off, the service was cold and unwelcoming. Not a single staff member offered an apology for the nearly 2-hour wait or the botched order. In fact, they only told us that our food was being played up when we were overheard talking about leaving.
When paying, a different staff member simply noted they wouldn't ask for a tip given our experience, but still offered zero apology.
An expensive, stressful evening with poor service and bad food. Would not recommend.

When it first reopened i took a group of elderly people and everyone had good feedback. We went again two weeks ago, a completely different experience, the food was not eatable for two of the ladies, they had Gamon and it was so hard they could not eat it likewise the chips were very well done and hard. I asked for the alcohol free cider on the lunch special, he brought me a Thatcher zero. He also told the two ladies that he would sort things for them at the end of the meal.
When it came to paying the ladies we're asked to pay the full amount and I was told that the Thatchers that I had was not on the lunch menu I had to pay extra. We won't be going there again.
