  We were a party of about 14 people. We had the sunday carvery which was delicious! All the staff we encountered were really lovely, happy and friendly! The carvery was so delicious and lots of choice!

  We hadn’t visited for quite some time so decided to give it a try. We were not disappointed, in fact really impressed. After a very nice welcome we were shown to our table. I ordered the lamb rump and my partner chose the ham hock. Both meals were superb and were complimented by excellent service. We will definitely be back soon as the wide and varied menu needs trying. Please pass on our compliments to the kitchen and the rest of the Chequers team. If you are still to visit the Chequers for a meal then we would urge you to go at your earliest opportunity as you will be pleasantly surprised with the quality of the food and overall experience. Thanks once again.

  As a coeliac in a heatwave trying to treat a friend for her birthday I was disappointed. I had two choices - hot food, no salads, no cold chicken, salmon, jacket potatoes Ended up with ham egg and chips. Not ideal my friend had a fish finger sandwich but the bread came toasted!! Not ideal either You have the facilities to provide cold food please consider !! Server, Steven was the only reason not to get up and run!! Then came the bill - although advertised that a small plate lunch included a drink I have been charged £4.50 for two soft drinks!! Insult to injury. Your comments please!!
