The sitting premium😢 Very sad and upsetting as I really enjoyed coming here. I have visited this cafe before and some lunch however on this time, it was very disappointing. I had bought some food from the supermarket itself, the sandwich meal deal, and bought it into the cafe to eat. I was sat for about 20 minutes enjoying my Tesco meal deal before being told 'Did you buy that from the cafe.' 'No, I bought it from the shop floor' and showed my packet to her. She bends down. 'You can't do that, people who eat here pay a premium' I felt belittled. It is such a shame as it's left me feeling unwelcomed. The sandwich had been from Tesco. It is part of the same building. I had wanted to bring a sandwich from home.... I find it amazing that I see elderly people sat doing nothing at all. Reading the paper. No coffee. Is there a premium to open a mouth? Plenty are sat. Not eating. I won't be coming back again or to this Tesco due to this very unusual and belittled experience. A real shame :(

Yiung lady on the counter was lovely, helpful 5 atars for her. However on visiting at 5.15 asking if it was too late for a sausage bap, counter lady informed no, we can do that it's not too late. The chef came out a couple of minutes later before she could complete my order, saying no food. This is not the first time. We visit most weeks. Some afternoons, it's fine, others not. And it's always the same chef that says no, gruff with the staff. If you aren't doing hot food, communicate it to you staff and maybe turn the billboard sign round, or out a notice up. But, be consistent. Sat here with a drink, while those around us are served hot food.

Very good service considering time of day I went and the server (Lisa) did brilliant all by herself on the counter battling with a big queue so hats off to her for doing a good job at serving food and drink where great too

It's evident that Tesco are only staffing this cafe with one person at the main counter , so it is inevitable that you will get queues and some waiting times but the service was friendly, food was good and the price was also very good. Let's be fair to them, all supermarkets are cutting staff costs as a result of economic policy so give these people a fair break and appreciate the value.

PLEASE AVOID! We came here for a quick breakfast that we got for takeout for myself, my partner and kids. Long wait to be served, 30 minute wait for the food and coffees, the coffee was undrinkable, the food was cold and had clearly been microwaved. The whole family got food poisoning so it ruined the rest of our holiday and we had a horrific journey home because of it. It was either undercooked or unhygienic I don't know but definitely something wrong with the food.
