  Used the cafe today to find the over half the cakes were out of stock. Once settled with substitute items the next challenge came you find a clean table. Over 14 tables required clearing. There was only three customers in during our time there so no rush for staff. But still 14 tables required clearance.

  Usual tesco to be honest. Only issue is old people constantly parking in the parent and child spaces. Not sure how they could change that but it would help young families

  I took back a Tesco Finest Carrot Cake because I had a two centimeter piece of sharp wood impaled in my upper pallet ( see photo ) when I arrived at the superstore Kingsway West I asked to speak to the general store manager but I got the deputy store manager instead, I explained what happened and showed him the piece of wood and the box and the remaining cake, he thanked me for bringing it all back, he didn't seem all that bothered and said the customer service person will deal with me and he went away. The customer service person who was serving other customers told me to join the end of the queue which I did. When my turn came to be served the customer service person told me that I should have just joined the original queue and not bother asking for the manager, I felt like I was being reprimanded for asking for the store manager. The customer service person asked for my details and then gave me my money back from the original purchase, she said someone would be in touch. Nobody has.

  I rarely write negative reviews - I prefer to focus on the positive, but hard as I tried, I can't let today's experience slide. I visited the Kingsway location at around 11 this morning and used the self service checkout to buy a pair of trousers. After paying for them in full view of the staff, I politely asked the first available employee to remove the security tags (they should've offered this to me without the need to ask, but nevermind). They refused to help and abruptly pointed me to a colleague by the exit. The second colleague came across as rather rude, treated me with visible disrespect and even checked my receipt despite having just watched me pay. No greeting or any other form of basic politeness was offered in our interaction. I am a calm and polite customer, but the poor level of customer service from the team at this store makes for a deeply unpleasant shopping experience and needs to be addressed by management.
