Our issues began Saturday during the England Under-19 Ice Hockey Tournament. After being seated for dinner, the manager was immediately rude — interrupting my food order mid-way to serve another customer simply because I paused briefly. He never checked on us during the meal, and it became clear leaving his shift was the priority.
I let this go and said nothing.
The following morning at prepaid breakfast, the same manager was on shift. My booking covered two rooms; my son had already used one room’s breakfast with his hockey team, which apparently caused a problem. Despite this, we gave both room numbers and were told to sit anywhere.
As we walked three paces toward the seating area, the manager muttered under his breath — clearly audible — “just walk away whilst I’m talking to you then.”
Given we had been told to sit down, I turned and asked him to repeat himself. He did. When I challenged his attitude and referenced the previous evening’s behaviour, I was told to leave the restaurant and would not be served breakfast.
I proceeded to the Premier Inn reception and requested a full refund, where I was informed the restaurant is closing in September.
With management of this standard, that is entirely unsurprising. This treatment of paying guests is absolutely unacceptable, and I will not be the only customer making a formal complaint.

I have never been made to feel so unwelcome at a place that is a ‘hospitality’ establishment. The manager was downright rude, arrogant to the point of me actually wondering if he was being racist!
Everything was too much trouble, leaving me open mouthed at his outbursts. Even my children are better behaved in a restaurant setting as paying guests!
I hear this place is due to close. I wonder why???

Came for breakfast this morning tastie pastries but fried breakfast didnt live up to expectations, sausage were very firm bacon rashes were paper thin and a wirey hair was was found on my partners second plate of food ,altho the staff re-cooked a second plate it put my partner off and was unable to Finnish the plate. This of course made it look like I ordered to much food and wasted most of the second plate ,however 2 plates are usually very easy for my partner, but on this occasion I was simply put off my food from the hair on my original 2nd plate, when trying to explain to staff why I was unable to Finnish the second plate ,I was told "its ok rookie error" with a smirk, if this comment was referring to me being unable to Finnish the second plate I find this to be quite rude ,as I was put off from eating further due to finding a hair on my food and if this comment was referring to the hair being in the food as a rookie error by the chef then I find this to be unprofessional. Disbite leaving here with a full tummy the thought of the food and the hair combined has made us both feel really sick ,had the sausages been less firm and the bacon been thicker and the staff making out like they wanted to be there and less hair in my partners food ,our experience would have been so much better ,but unfortunately we shall not be returning.
