Greggs is a British food to go brand, specialising in fresh bakes, sandwiches, hot drinks and sweet treats. Founded in 1939, Greggs started out selling eggs and yeast by pushbike, ten years later the first shop opened on Gosforth High Street, in Newcastle. Now, over 80 years later Greggs is a household name thanks to their tasty Sausage Rolls, Steak Bakes, Chicken Bakes, Doughnuts, Yum Yums and freshly ground Fairtrade Coffee. With shops across the UK, you're never far away from a Greggs. And with new offerings like Click + Collect and delivery to your door with Just Eat, it's never been easier to get your flakey fix. The Greggs App gives customers tasty rewards every time they shop. From sandwiches to sweet treats, hot drinks and bakes, each time you buy a product, you'll get a stamp. Collect nine stamps in a category, and the tenth item will be free. New customers can also get a free hot drink of their choice, just for downloading the app. The Greggs Foundation aims to build stronger, healthier communities across nine principle programmes including 'The Breakfast Club programme', which helps primary school children get a nutritious start to their school day. Today there are over 680 Breakfast Clubs across the UK, serving wholesome, free breakfasts to around 44,000 children every school day- that's 8.5 million meals a year.
Best Greggs in Donny! Always got plenty of stock and the workers are super friendly. Iced Coffees from here are better than any of the competition as well! You pay a slight premium for it being a Services but honestly it’s worth it. Click and Collect orders are always bang on time too.

Not a good Greggs. I'm not going to another Greggs when there is another Subway just there. They claimed they can charge more just because it is at a service station. So the £5 Christmas meal deal on the app was a lie and it was actually £6.30.
Don't claim you can offer something then charge more. I am very disappointed. They didn't even have any festive baguettes available either.

I went in this morning hoping for a croissant however I noticed there weren't any left on the shelf, so I asked the woman working if she happened to have any left (as I know greggs bake things throughout the day) to be met with such a rude and abrupt "no."
So I asked for a sausage breakfast roll and a latte.
I had a free hot drink through my monzo app and when she came back to the till to tell me how much it was, I showed the app to scan and she sighed at me. I scanned the app and she told me the same price. I asked if the app had scanned and she said no, I explained it was a free coffee and she said no its not taken it. I said can I try again and she again sighed and said no I have to cancel it. This was sorted and I left.
When I opened up my breakfast roll bag, this is what I found... a roll that looked like it had been savaged by a bear, sausages just dumped on top and tomato sauce squirted over the top. Such a mess and a disappointment.
I wouldn't bother going to this greggs, you'll be met with a stinking attitude for the audacity of asking someone to do their job and poorly prepared food.
Opening times for all Greggs shops can be found on our Shop Finder. Just enter your location into the search bar to find opening times, contact details and available facilities.
What happens to your leftover food?
We’ve been donating unsold food for a long time. Originally our bakeries would team up with large charities who would help distribute it to smaller organisations.
This process remains in place, though we’ve also worked hard to increase the amount of unsold food donated by our shops and we currently support a network of 1,077 local good causes.
In 2022, we redistributed 1,800 tonnes of unsold food through our Outlet shops. A share of the profits from the outlets, totalling £450,000, was then donated back into the communities we serve.
We’re no longer taking new applications for end-of-day food donation partners, but we continue to identify regions where our shops could support a local charitable collection. To find out more or nominate an organisation visit: https://www.greggsfoundation.org.uk/unsold-food-donations.
Why do you have different prices regionally?
It is very common for retailers to have regional prices. This is because the costs of running a business can vary across different parts of the country and in certain locations, for example rent costs. We always keep our prices as low as possible for our customers.
