  If I wanted lunch in a creche I'd have gone to a creche. Pubs are adult spaces, kids should only be allowed in designated family only areas. Booked a table for Sunday lunch with friends to find we were sat in a room full full of screaming kids and ignorant parents who had zero respect for other diners. Our meal was ruined, we couldn't hear ourselves speak above the screeching and the staff and management paid no attention to the ructions in the dining room. Whilst the food was okay the service was appalling, too many youngsters and nobody in control.

  Very disappointing service. We ordered food, and 30 minutes into waiting we asked when food would be coming out, only to be told there was a 30 minute wait which the waitress failed to mention on ordering, we then waited a further 30 minutes for our food to arrive. Eventually, after waiting an hour in total our food arrived. We wouldn’t have minded waiting at all if we were told there was a delay. But the most frustrating part was the 3 tables that came in after us, all got their food before us? There was two adults and one child on our table - so not a big order to complete (2 Roasts and a kids Mac n Cheese). The staff didn’t apologise once, nor did they even come over to ask if food was okay or if we needed anything. We didn’t bother with desert as we’d been waiting long enough. We got the bill to see there was a service charge on there, we asked for this to be removed (the waitress looked in horror when we asked this). We paid the bill and the gentleman at the bar asked how it was, we told him about our experience but there was no apology. The food was okay - except the cold potatoes and the pub itself is nice. We regularly come here for food and a roast, but after today we will NOT be returning due to the poor service.

  Wir waren für 2 Nächte im Burrator Inn und es war einfach toll. Das ganze Team war super nett, zuvorkommend und ausgesprochen hilfsbereit, großes Danke hierfür. ☺️ Vielen Dank auch für den Tipp in Cornwall den Ort Mousehole anzuschauen, das werden wir auf jeden Fall tun. Unser Zimmer war ausgesprochen groß mit viel Platz für Gepäck. Die Ausgangslage ist perfekt, um Ausflüge in den Dartmoor Nationalpark zu machen. Die Landschaft ist wunderschön. Das Essen im Pub ist fabelhaft, es gibt eine große Auswahl und es sollte somit für jeden etwas dabei sein. Wir kommen gerne wieder. Danke an Jeremy und das ganze Team.☺️☺️

  We had a lovely 4 night stay, having grown up in Plympton and passing this place for many years, I thought it was time to finally try a stay here as we were on holiday visiting family. I wasn't disappointed! It is perfectly located for Dartmoor exploring but also the wider South West. We had a great evening meal as well as a very tasty breakfast. Very dog friendly. Our room was very well equipped and we appreciated the room service every day.

  Went for a family meal. Kids enjoyed theirs. I ordered fish and chips, sadly it was really poor, way overcooked. Expensive too, and a really small portion. This was from the main menu too. Dessert of sticky toffee pudding was good though. Probably wont return. Dissapointing, far better options around
