  The store seems to open when it wants and post office shut during times it should be open. Staff issues so something wrong with management

  I tried sending two parcels at the post office in the spar in Bridgetown about two months ago now !!! The post office employee made an error whilst trying to process my two parcels . She insisted on scanning the same QR Code twice even though I explained i have a different one for the second parcel . Therefore as she tried to print out a receipt for me , an error happened and she was only able to get proof of postage for one of the parcels. She apologised and asked me to take a picture of her with both the parcels behind the counter in case the company im returning the parcels to refuse to refund me because I have no tracking or proof of postage for one of the parcels due to her mistake .. The company I was sending / returning the parcels to refused to give me a refund for the second parcel since I had no proof of postage . They told me to ask for a refund from the post office since they made the mistake . I have been back to the post office in the spar shop on multiple occasions and the MANAGER was so defensive ! and has been very reluctant on giving me the refund even though I explained the situation that happened and showed her evidence of the photos I had taken of the employee with my two parcels . It is so unprofessional of the manager ! She has dealt with the situation in such an unprofessional way , I don’t like the way she spoke to me or showed no concern for my situation . The fact it was clearly the employee fault , and she is refusing to refund me the £50 I am owed . She also got me to email Royal Mail and issue lost in post so they don’t have to refund me the money . Even though it’s clearly not lost in the post . I’m actually appalled I have made so much effort constantly calling , going into the shop , speaking to the manager multi occasions contacting Royal Mail etc . To solve the issue but i still I have nothing to show for it and the manager is still refusing to refund me . I have been so patient it’s been 2 months since this happened and she has continued to say what I want to hear but still avoiding refunding me .. it’s such a ignorant way to deal with the situation and I’m appalled at how unprofessional she is considering she is the manager . I would AVOID ! using the post office in the spar shop !!!

  Despite being a small shop, the staff are always happy and ready to help.

  50% of the time the postoffice is unexpectedly closed without any explanation. I need to use it for my work. I have mostly stopped going in there because of this as it's quite frustrating.
