You need to avoid this place until they employ people who do care, absolutely shocking on all levels.
We walked in and the young lady behind the bar was more interested whether the dogs were included in the booking than anything else. She then couldn't adminstrate the payment anyway!
She went off to check our room and my wife went off to use the disabled toilet. My wife returned and said the toilet was in a right state and questioned was everything else going to be ok.....I held my nerve because I had booked this place....
The lady returns and said room checked, already to go. Upon entering the room we were met with a strange smelling tired room, a stained carpet, dirty pillow cases and no working light in the bathroom.
I called the lady back and showed her these concerns. She said she would sort everything and send an engineer to look at the light. The engineer was the young lad from behind the bar, who stated there was nothing he do as it needed a new part! The lady then returned and I questioned how somebody had cleaned a bathroom in the dark.....
We then asked to see the manager because it was becoming ridiculous.
The manager arrived and was truly sorry and said she would sort everything, offering a refund. I said ok we will go downstairs and get some food, to give them time to resolve.
We went downstairs and the young lad behind the bar said "food has finished"! I said your manager has just agreed it.....off he went to confirm. He returned to say we can have food now.....We ordered 2 Roast Beef dinners and 2 drinks.....the lad goes off and we can hear the Chef shouting at him. The lad returns to say we don't have much choice left and no drinks. At this stage I had enough of this debacle and said we are leaving. The Chef then moans to me, half his order didn't turn up on Friday.....why is this my problem, get another supplier.
I went back up to the room to collect our bags and the manager is scrubbing the floor. I informed her I just wanted a refund. She was truly sorry again (which I read in other reviews on here) and complained she can't even have a day off. So poor it was untrue and I did feel for her but you are the Manager.
She refunded my stay and then I am left with finding somewhere else on a Sunday evening for 2 nights with dogs in tow. I said to her you only get 1 chance to make a good impression and you blew it at every level.
Luckily we found an amazing place in Winsford.....which restored our faith.
Sorry the post is so long but the experience was so bad.....
I am still waiting on my refund too.......

Stopped off for lunch. Sparse lunch menu but thought being in the countryside it would be nice local produce. How disappointing and costly. Cheddar and red onion sandwiches arrived on supermarket white bread, a handful of dried up tasteless Doritos and half a tomato. £12 each sandwich. For this price I would expect bakery fresh bread and a small side salad with huge chunks of cheese.it was like a packed lunch for a child. Not a brilliant location to sit outside right on the busy main road, dogs running around inside! The only bright side was the young man serving behind the bar! Needless to say we won’t be stopping off again during our stay in Exebridge.

Arrived, checked inn, grabbed a drink. We were asked for our breakfast order before we went to bed. Booked for 0900hrs the following morning we thought we'd see if we could grab a coffee before breakfast. It was like the Mary Celest downstairs (see attached pics).
At 0920 there was still no one around, so I rang the pubs number, left a message and 5 minutes later the cook came running down, apologising. No big deal really. However, because she was late, she threw everything in the deep fat fryer in a rush to get our breakfast. As a result some bits were over cooked, some undercooked and all swimming in grease.
Room was small but OK. 1 set of towels for 2 people, TV didn't work and generally the place looked tired and unloved (holes and marks in walls upstairs). We felt like we were an inconvenience to the staff and their lives.
Not recommended.
