- MMMShard1972Sep 30, 20251.0I have never been so angry at what I witnessed this evening, to the point I feel this needs to be addressed, as other customers were there too and I am certain they witnessed the same thing I did. But I am extremely disappointed with how this petrol station is being run since the recent takeover. Around 7pm, I witnessed a female manager openly belittling a staff member on the busy forecourt, right in front of customers. It was uncomfortable, unprofessional, and completely unacceptable. The atmosphere within this business has changed and as mentioned, being a frequent visitor I am sure others may feel the same. This is a small and lovely community, where we mostly know each other and build a rapport within every business we visit, but I feel sorry for the long term staff who perhaps now feel frightened to put a foot wrong! No one should be spoken to like that at work — especially not in front of others. If this is how staff are treated in public, I can only imagine what goes on behind the scenes. Management needs to seriously reflect on their behaviour. Until then, I’ll be taking my business elsewhere.
- MSm spicerOct 27, 20235.0On 26th October we were travelling home from our holiday. I have a medical condition and desperately needed to find a toilet. We had tried unsuccessfully to park, but as it was market day we couldn't find anywhere. We pulled into the South Molton Costcutter store and asked if there was a toilet we could use. As soon as the young male assistant was told that I was on medication, he immediately took us to a staff toilet. He was so considerate and kind that we wanted his kindness to be recognised. He wasnt wearing a name badge, but was of slim build and had a small pony tail in his fair hair. Thank you so much! Andrea and Marie from Hereford.
