Had a really unpleasant experience with Kay a few months ago. I walked in with a bottle of water I had bought from Sainsbury's. She accused me of stealing it. But it didn't even have a bar code because it was from a multipack I had bought at Sainsbury's. When it was obvious she had made a mistake, she never apologised. She just shrugged her shoulders. Now whenever I come in she is hostile to me. I complained to the supervisor today, Bex, who dealt with it really professionally and apologised on her behalf. And was really understanding. Which is what I would have expected from Kay - If you had accused somebody of shopping lifting and then you were wrong, wouldn't any normal person be really sorry?? You would feel awful for accusing someone. I would. Kay just shrugged her shoulders.
But unfortunately this afternoon another lady called Jess rang me up to give me the customer service number, but she wouldn't confirm whether this was the formal complaint process. She kept saying, I am reading off the back of the receipt. And told me to tweet and Facebook? I said, for a complaint? She said 'Haven't a Clue'. Is that appropriate? 'Haven't a clue'. Shouldn't people in charge know about complaints processes and speak professionally? I have read the other comments on here too, and people in the village talk... It definitely sounds like there is an issue at this store. But I noticed Cody has some complaints but I have always found him great. All the good reviews now go back several years. It's definitely get worse. All the negative complaints are about bad manners and being impolite and I agree. It does feel a bit like the staff are doing what they like, and don't really care if they make a good impression or not. There is definitely a lack of professionalism and polite customer service. Doesn't feel like anyone is properly leading things... There's just too many complaints about staff being rude and impolite, which has been my experience.
