This place is a joke. They advertised that the meal deal was on until my husband went to order our dinner and was shocked at the price. Seemingly they stop that come the summer months. Well if that's the case, don't advertise it, that's false advertising 🤦♀️.
The restaurant is absolutely disgusting to walk into. Food all over the floor, tables sticky and don't get me started on their toilets 🤮 toilet paper everywhere, stains all over the toilets, nothing was sanitary put it that way. My husband had to clean the table himself, he went to get the spray and the cloth, he then noticed the cloth was absolutely dirty so used paper towels instead. Just imagine, that cloth they are using over and over again gets put on the tables you eat on, absolutely disgusting!!!!
Get it sorted, it's a restaurant, not a zoo.

This is the filthiest Brewers Fayre I have ever went to. Food all over the floor, tables sticky and OMG the toilets were a disgrace, don't think they have been cleaned in ages. The hubby had to clean the table and he was gonna use their cloth and it was so dirty, he used paper towels instead. If they are using the same cloth and not rinsing it, your gonna get their is e.coli being spread about. Absolutely disgusting for a restaurant and I feel sick thinking about eating their again. Won't be back and I think their clean standards are way low to still be open. Think health and safety needs to go in to that place now, someone needs to complain and I think that's one thing on my list.
Stopped off for a drink on the way back to Brixham. The pub is large, plenty of outside tables, but grotty, all needs a refurbishment from the green mildew over the rendering, to tables needing TLC, the doors into the toilets need replacing, very-jaded and dirty looking and sticky. The Doombar ale tasted off, like it had been watered down with soda water. I drink this a fair bit and it wasnt right. The assistant was helpful and replaced it for an alternate drink. Considering its adjacent to a Premier Inn and right on Goodrington Sands this place could be miles better with some investment.

Went today for air show. The staff were quite rude to customers, I appreciate it was busy but that's when your customer service training comes in.
My friend and I ordered fish and chips without tartar sauce with mushy peas and curry sauce. They brought it out without tartar sauce. No problem at all. Whilst getting the tar tar, the curry sauce for my friend was half of the amount in mine and was really thickly congealed on top and weirdly burnt. The mushy peas for both of us had a skin on it, I'm not exaggerating about 2cm deep and the fork was struggling to get through. The lemon was crispy??, had all charcoal on it!!. I was told that's the way the chef does them.
Waitress came back with the tartar and it was mayonnaise and said this is a new brand. It had come from the fridge as it was in a pot but it was a tablespoon full. I asked about the skin on everything and she said that's because it's microwaved. I said so it's not fresh like you said, she said no we haven't sold any for a few hours. I said why is the lemon chargrilled???? She said that's the chef's way of doing them. I think it had been sat out for hours all one plate including the lemon and they simply put it all in the microwave.
Asked for a refund, they said we would have to queue up and wait (the queue was a good 20 minutes long). Asked for the manager. He gave us a refund, said it was their fault and didn't quibble too much which was good, albeit I think he didn't want us saying the food service was poor in front of the queuing customers. They never said sorry but just asked what they could do a replacement or a refund, but that's fine they handled that part well.
Apart from that there were some staff members I seen who were friendly. Some a bit too friendly, there was a male members of staff in sketchers and wearing glasses with a beard who was a bit confident winking at me a lot, I myself don't swing that way. The male toilets were disgusting, perhaps because either was busy, but there was urine all on the floor (bad if you were wearing flip flops as it was deep, and a soiling down the side of one of the toilets). The toilets were filthy and looked like they hadn't been to.
The place is in an ideal location, right by the sea front, but for me it's a tourist trap. Poor quality get customers in and out.
Would I come back? I wouldn't. Also heard this chain of restaurants are closing down aka Brewers Fayre. Avoid avoid avoid.
