  We had a warm welcome when we arrived, we hadn't booked and we had a nice table in the conservatory restaurant area. The two ladies that served us were attentive and friendly, the food was excellent. The pork fillet was the most tender we have ever had and the accompanyments were perfect. The sticky toffee pudding was amazing and the chocolate and cherry sundae disappeared very quickly too. Sadly we live in Southampton so won't be able to visit again but would thoroughly recommend the Seven Stars. Thank you for a lovely meal and friendly service.

  Excellent food and service, made to feel very welcome. Best pub we have found while on holiday in Kingsbridge.!

  Absolutely effing disgusting place, immensely rude staff- we went for a few drinks and something to eat and we were greeted with the manager (Neil) violently shouting and making threats to a group of teenagers looking to have a nice night out, he threatened to knock one of them out and was squaring up to two others.We witnessed this whole incident and were utterly disgusted. Neil I hope you are ashamed of how you have treated these poor teenagers treating them with hostility, it is disgusting and unacceptable. I will never be returning.

  Fantastic food, reasonably priced, and the staff are so polite, kind and welcoming. Eaten there quite a few times now, best place to eat in Kingsbridge without a doubt!

  I've visited this pub before and sat in the beer garden with my cat with no problem at all. My cat is harnessed, carried, and fully contained at all times — quieter and more well behaved than most dogs in there. Today was completely different because the owner was present. I was told flat-out that we were not welcome because "cats aren't allowed" as they might "incite aggression from other dogs." So let me get this straight — you advertise as dog-friendly, welcome dogs of all sizes and temperaments, but a harnessed cat sitting with her owner is a problem because the dogs you allow in might be aggressive? If a leashed dog can't handle seeing a cat across a beer garden without becoming aggressive, that dog shouldn't be in a pub. This isn't just a pet. My cat is my support animal. She goes everywhere with me harnessed and carried for a reason, and pubs like this have always been a safe, calm place for us to sit outside together. To be singled out and spoken to so rudely was upsetting. The owner was extremely and unnecessarily rude, bordering aggressive. No discussion, no manners — just told we weren't welcome and left to leave. I've never been spoken to like that in a pub. If you are dog-friendly, why not cats when they are secured, harnessed and causing no issue at all? If you have a no-cats policy, put it on the door instead of humiliating customers who have visited before without issue. I left and will not be returning.
