So, where to start. I haven't been into this store since they closed to reorganize a while back, upon returning nothing has really changed except for the customer service, which seems to be the worst ive ever experienced. Why? Well I went in there to get myself some food as a struggling young adult with financial struggles I asked the bald multilingual guy behind the counter nicely if he would do a split checkout between cash and card as I was buying something for my mate with cash and something for myself on card. I place the money on the counter and began reaching for my card, as I'm doing this he looks up, signs loudly before saying "oh my god why do you people always have to make things so difficult" before taking the cash and changing up my whole purchase with the cash and not listening when I ask him why he's not letting me use my card 🤬 so I take my change and while extremely pissed off I call it a one off and leave as ive used this store before and never had a bad experience. Then I go in there the next day to look for some electric tape and a few other bits that are unrelated. As I walk around I pick up a drink and begin looking around for the tape, the whole time im being followed around the store by the security guard (a short multilingual woman) I eventually, feeling very pressured by her constantly looking over my shoulder decide to ask her if they have electric tape, they don't, fair enough. I go to look for the rest of my shopping and I realised they didnt have another thing I needed so I decided at this point to go to a different shop as they didnt have 2 things I needed and the security guard was really making me uncomfortable. So i put the drink i picked up back and begin to walk out of the store, as Im making my way out im stopped and the security guard stops me and goes "where is the drink you just had?", I look at her a bit funny and tell her I put it back where I found it, because where else would it be? She then continues pressing the issue "are you sure? I can check cctv?" Now by this point I understand whats going on and why she's being so weird, she was assuming I was stealing because of what I was wearing, my age or some other factor, which is just unacceptable. I've never stolen a thing in my life and i used to be a daily regular at this store just to be treated like a criminal because I'm looking for tape! Absolute joke of a shop, needs new staff, new management the lot.

I'm 60 & use walking stick. The shop assistant on the tills couldn't scan my products so I used the self service units. After waiting ten minutes for a age check for alcohol the assistant asked me for ID which I provided (despite being obviously much older than the limit). The assistant then proceeded to chat to the shopper next to me about how he likes to make people jump through hoops to entertain himself. I've encountered his behaviour before but open insults after extremely poor service is unbelievable

very rude staff. 'Adam' with a beard was unpleasant to encounter, and unpleasant on the nose too ! I was grabbing eggs and he came down the aisle with a cage. as i apologised and moved out of the way he just said "you're literally in the way" before i even had time to move. they also shut 15 minutes early and don't let you in. better off going to tesco.
