  I was extremely impressed by the staff at this Tesco on Monday 24 August. There had apparently been an accident on the A361 and this, combined with the closure of the road to Bickington off the adjacent large roundabout, led to total traffic gridlock. It was taking up to 2 hours just to get out of Tesco car park. At no time was there any sight of the police who could keep workers and customers "in the loop". Into the total chaos stepped a team of calm, knowledgable and extremely capable Tesco staff. They worked in a co-ordinated manner. They managed to help people on their way and calm the whole experience. Two most notable things - 1) a member of the pharmacy staff took it upon herself to deliver essential prescription items to a gentleman for whom it was impossible to get to the store, 2) a team of 4 who opened an alternative exit from the car park. They managed the flow of traffic, spoke to every driver explaining their new route and kerb hazards. They saw every vehicle onto the road ensuring local drivers were aware of this new flow of traffic accessing roads. In particular I would like to mention James, Jack, Mitch and the wonderful Jo. I have always had excellent service at this particular Tesco store. Yesterday day your staff just went that extra mile. Thank you

  Great store, well laid out. Wide aisles for my wheelchair. Brilliiant Free From range.

  Visited mainly to pick up travel money that I'd ordered on line on a day out to Barnstaple. Disappointed that despite ordering a week in advance the money was not able to be collected before 3pm. A good selection of clothing and the staff we spoke to were very good

  Such rude and unhelpful staff! We were down on holiday and stopped off to have lunch and get out shop for the week. We spent over 1 hour 15 in the cafe as there was a food service delay and then did our shopping. When we got back to the car I'd realised we'd over stayed the 2 hour limit (completely out fault). We aren't used to limits as our local tescos has a 5 hour limit so never think about it. I tried to pay for the additional time on the app, but it wouldn't let me. I spoke to the customer service lady and explained the situation. She was incredibly rude and said it's 'tough' and starter blaming me for being 'stupid', I think she got a kick out of the situation. As I said, it was my fault, but a small bit of understanding, even if they couldn't do anything wouldn't go amiss. I don't believe there is nothing they could do! So in additional to our £35 lunch and £260 food shop, we had a £40 ticket. Thanks Tescos and your rude staff!
