  Ok just Tesco's! Went during a weekday, quiet with lots of parking spaces, but none shaded.

  We usually shop here during our thrice-yearly trips to Croyde, but today was our last visit. We were accused of theft during a routine Scan as You Shop check by an older staff member (in his 60’s/70’s) who was incredibly hostile. He went as far as searching our 2-year old’s small backpack, even including tiny side pockets you could barely fit a coin in to be extra awkward. It felt less like a policy check and more like a personal judgment based on us not being locals and called his manager to make out we were trouble or something. If you want to start your holiday on a positive note, I’d suggest heading to a different supermarket where customers are treated with basic respect.
