  What an absolutely unforgettable customer service experience lol. I approached the checkout with a full trolley, only to find Fiona completely engrossed in a conversation with another Tesco colleague (who had very distinctive peroxide-blonde hair). Their chat seemed far more important than the customer standing in front of them. Eventually, Fiona began scanning my shopping without so much as a “Hello,” “How are you?” or even “Do you need any bags?” The conversation continued throughout, making me feel like I’d interrupted a catch-up rather than joined a checkout queue. Once her colleague wandered off, Fiona managed to finish scanning my shopping, including enthusiastically slamming my Oreo biscuits onto the end of the checkout. A lovely finishing touch. Not too fussed, the Oreo’s are for the kids. I considered saying something, but then I thought I’d rather not let someone called Fiona spoil an otherwise pleasant evening. I paid, left, and decided to leave my feedback here instead. Tesco, if your checkout staff would rather have a chat than acknowledge customers, perhaps they would be happier in a role away from the tills. Basic manners cost nothing, and a simple greeting goes a long way. Cheers. Every little helps.

  I do most of my shopping here. Easy parking, well stocked and great staff.
