"Extremely disappointing experience at Zizzi. I waited over 40 minutes just for a starter, and then another 20 minutes for the mains. The service from the waiters was unprofessional and completely disorganised. No one checked on the table, no updates, no apology, nothing. The chefs kept arguing with each other in front of everyone For a restaurant that claims to offer good service, this was one of the worst dining experiences I've had. Definitely not coming back."

Terrible experience from start to finish.
We waited 45 minutes for our starters and over an hour for our main courses. Throughout that entire time, not a single member of staff came to check on our table, explain the delay, or apologise. We were simply left sitting there wondering what was happening.
When our pizzas finally arrived after more than an hour, we were told that one of the pizzas would be removed from the bill because of the delay. However, the biggest issue was never the money – it was the complete lack of customer service. A discount does not make up for being ignored, kept waiting excessively, and given no communication whatsoever.
To make matters worse, the chef was openly arguing with a waitress in front of customers near the open kitchen. It created an uncomfortable atmosphere and reflected very poorly on the professionalism of the restaurant.
Delays can happen, and most customers are understanding when they are kept informed. What is unacceptable is leaving customers waiting for such long periods without a single update, apology, or attempt to make them feel valued.
Management should seriously review the performance of the staff and the standards of customer service being provided. Customers should not have to chase staff for information or feel completely forgotten once they have placed an order.
This was one of the worst dining experiences I have had. The food eventually arrived, but by that point the poor service had completely ruined the experience. I will not be returning and cannot recommend this restaurant to others.

The food was atrocious, my partner and I went in to try it and the food was disgusting. The lasagne was cold and overcoated in a lemon bit like green slime. The calzone was burnt and cold with no real flavour to speak of. The bolognese chips where cheap French fries with a little sauce and cheese sprinkled on top and wasnt worth it. The only good thing was the garlic bread but by that part my partner and I just wanted leave. Never would recommend this to anyone. If youre looking for authentic Italian cuisine try one of the other 3 place in cardiff because it ain't at zizzis

We've used a number of Zizzi in the past but this was our first visit to this branch. On arrival seats were dirty and covered with crumbs. There's damage on the walls going up stairs and to some of the toilets. But the biggest disappointment was the food. Calamari dry and overcooked, ragu pasta that wasn't edible and the sticky pig pizza had so much sauce on it the base was simple soggy bread and unpleasant.
