It was my first time trying BarBurrito, and I just wanted to have a loaded fries bowl, so I customized it to my liking. It tasted really good! The staff were absolutely amazing and so friendly. Thanks to Channi and team. I’ll definitely be coming back again!

If I could give 10* I would, the staff here are genuine the best people I’ve ever seen. Always so kind and so lovely, I don’t tend to feel comfortable in most places but this genuinely feels like home (I’m here everyday). Thank you genuinely from the bottom of my heart. Noah and Ethan are truly the best people at barburrito, service is 10/10 such nice and caring people, I feel so touched that I have been graced with their presence honestly, had an incident where my food was thrown by accident, and fixed it for me- I genuinely feel that they are truly an asset to barburrito

We visited Bar Burrito Cardiff tonight, just over an hour before closing. Although the restaurant was still open, almost every table had chairs stacked on them, leaving only a couple of tables near the entrance available to sit at. It felt like customers were being discouraged from dining in despite there still being plenty of trading time left. The staff member who served us was friendly and polite throughout, and the other staff we interacted with seemed pleasant. Unfortunately, the manager’s attitude was a complete contrast and really overshadowed the experience. The first incident that stood out was when a young girl politely asked if she could get past a member of staff who was sweeping the floor. Instead of simply moving slightly, he replied, “I’d rather you didn’t,” forcing her to walk the long way around through the queue of people ordering. It came across as unnecessarily rude. The most uncomfortable part of the visit happened when two customers had already had their food prepared and then went to pay with cash. The staff member explained it was card only and called over what appeared to be the manager for advice. The manager loudly shouted across the restaurant, put the broom behind his head while listening, and then said in a very condescending tone, “Now what have we learnt from this?” He waited for the staff member to answer before saying, “Well done, we tell them at the beginning. Now they’re going to have to have free food because I’ve already cashed up.” This happened in front of a restaurant full of customers, including us and a family in front of us, and another customer commented on how awkward it was. It was embarrassing for the staff member and made the atmosphere really uncomfortable. Considering there was still over an hour until closing, the explanation about already cashing up was also surprising. To top it off, we ordered using the self-service kiosk. Our food was prepared and left sitting on the counter while staff continued serving new customers for around 15 minutes. Eventually I had to go and ask where our order was, despite watching other customers come in, order and leave. The food itself was good, and I want to make it clear that this review isn’t aimed at the staff who served us, as they were polite and doing their best. Unfortunately, the manager’s behaviour and attitude towards both customers and staff completely spoiled the experience. It created an uncomfortable atmosphere and left a very poor impression. Sadly, because of that, we won’t be rushing back.
