  I was inside the store shortly before midnight, even though the entrance doors were already closed around 11:50 pm, despite the store being advertised as closing at 12:00 am on the Tesco website and Google Maps. When customers approached the door, the security guard initially told them, “we are closed, you can’t come” even though it was still before midnight. At around 11:50 pm, I witnessed a customer outside being refused entry when they only wanted to buy milk. The manager and other colleague then came to the door and spoke in a rude and aggressive manner, repeatedly stating the store was closed. Inside the store, the security guard was also very rude and blocked my way when I tried to exit, which was uncomfortable and unnecessary. It was clear the store was being mopped and prepared to close early, rather than serving customers until the advertised closing time. As a customer inside the store, I found this behaviour unprofessional and disappointing. If the store intends to close earlier than midnight, the opening hours should be updated accordingly.

  Omg! The Tesco team and the manager were pushing customers away from the store around 11:50 pm, saying they were closed, even though the closing time is 12:00 am. It’s terrible and very disappointing.

  I visited this Tesco at 11:50 pm, expecting it to be open as both the Tesco website and Google Maps state the store closes at midnight. When I arrived, the door was already closed and the security guard said the store was closed. However, there were still customers inside, and I personally saw a customer leave at around 11:55 pm, with the security opening the door for them. At that point, I asked if I could quickly come in just to buy one bottle of milk, as it was still before midnight. Instead of a reasonable explanation, the manager (named Ryes) and another Tesco colleague came out and spoke to us very rudely, repeatedly saying “we are closed now” and “you can’t come inside,” while using an aggressive tone. We were pushed away in a very bad manner, and the response was essentially “do whatever you want, we don’t care.” It was clear the store was being mopped early and staff wanted to close before the advertised time, which is unacceptable when customers rely on the posted opening hours. The manager’s behaviour was extremely unprofessional and not what I expect from Tesco. If the store plans to close earlier than midnight, the opening hours should be updated, and customers should be treated with basic respect. Very disappointing experience.

  The attitude of both the staff and management was unprofessional and disappointing. This is not the first time we have had such an experience here. Terrible customer service. This was my experience today at this tescos, while Google shows that the store is open until 12:00 midnight, yet when we arrived at 11:51 PM, we tried to go inside, but the security guard physically pushed us back and told us the store was closed. When we questioned this, he was extremely rude and offered no explanation other than repeating that the store was closed. And then the manager came out whose name was Rhys, was also disrespectful and stated that he would not allow anyone to enter no matter what the google maps says. This is ridiculous as there were several customers waiting outside along with us, but none of us were permitted to go inside. Why list your closing time as midnight if your staff can decide to close the store whenever they feel like going home early? 😂😂 Extremely unprofessional behavior. This is not the first time we’ve experienced this here. Very disappointing. 😑
