  We turned up to a restaurant with 2 tables sat down and were turned away because they "only had skeleton staff today" so couldn't seat us!!! Beggars belief that a business turns away customers but the guy who turned us away did look like he couldn't be bothered. It was a blessing in disguise really because we found Pieros about 100m away which was excellent and I would never go back to this chain ever again.

  Really enjoyed the food and the service was excellent. A little noisy due to the glass roof.

  Ask in Truro is one of my favourite places to go. The staff are always friendly and helpful. The manager is always accommodating. Food us always really good. I would definitely recommend.

  Very good Italian restaurant, we arrived early in the evening (late afternoon) so getting a table was no problem, staff were friendly and we decided rather quickly what we wanted, so we had pasta carbonara, lemon risotto with king prawns, and pasta with pistachios and burrata. For dessert we had the tiramisu, the lemon and chocolate falls - so good!

  So enjoyed dining at this cosily lit Ask Italian a couple of times, which totally made my lovely birthday week in Cornwall. An attentive, smiling welcoming vibe to all who enter from both Managers. I observed it was comfortable to dine solo, as a family, or with work colleagues. Equal care was shown by the staff to everyone and especially to children was great to see. Certain places attract lovely clientele, this is one of them. My food was delicious, every dish and all arrived quickly. The best Tonic l've ever tasted with a splish of fresh lime juice AND lemon juice. Tiramisu with a gorgeous espresso coffee. Thank you Chris and 'Sandro for Five Star service and for spoiling me (I noted my table number so l can book it on my next adventure)
