  Location is the only positive we found regarding the Inn on the shore. Rooms and communal areas grubby and in need of much maintenance. Food was delivered an hour after ordering. Three of our table ordered Moules in cider which were rubbery and unpleasant and the watery liquid was just unpleasant and salty. Dining tables were sticky and we used the menus to rest our arms on otherwise our skin stuck to the table. Service slow. Ran out of gin and we were told the less expensive wines were out of stock and offered a £42 bottle of wine instead. Armchairs downstairs, ripped with grubby dirty arms. Mould on shower room. Carpets filthy in bedroom and hallway, doors to bedrooms dirty and chipped. Our door lock was rusty and took 5 minutes of jiggling to get into our room each time. Very overpriced rooms. Avoid this place until money has been invested. Very unpleasant surroundings to stay in. We wore our sandals after showering as we didn’t want to touch the grubby carpets

  We have just had a really enjoyable stay here. It was my birthday and a perfect location to celebrate. We arrived in the afternoon and greeted by friendly staff. Our room was very comfy, bed was amazingly huge! We had a very pleasant afternoon in the bar and walking on the beach. We had our dog with us and she was allowed everywhere! Our evening meal was great,sitting by a huge window overlooking the sea. We watched the sun go down. The food was lovely too,a nice choice with different choices to a " normal" pub menu. Staff very attentive and efficient. Breakfast was really good too with lots of choices. I gave 4 stars,mainly because of cosmetic reasons. Some areas could do with sprucing up but it was very nearly 5 stars. It's a very rustic,friendly pub in a stunning location and we will be back! Thankyou

  Great location, went here for breakfast to test out before booking dinner, won't be going back, no butter brought out with toast, mushrooms tasted slightly of soap? ....service was very slow. Yes....could've said something ....didn't, ........ didn't feel like it.

  We were so happy with our dinner there. Because was nearly 7pm on a Sunday evening, we were struggling to find a place to eat. We have just moved house so we have no kitchen. We called Inn on the Shore and spoke to Jacob. He told us their kitchen was closing shortly they but were happy to help us and sorted our food out before we arrived. The service was amazing and we had to thank Jacob and the other friendly staff for all their help and great service. We had delicious vegan beetroot burger and a vegan Sunday roast with mushroom pie. We will definitely recommend this place to everyone.

  It was amazing, the staff really helpful and friendly. Big love to Ben the barman at night. The room was really nice with sea views, the mattress was so comfortable I slept really well and they provide you a bamboo toothbrush with toothpaste, so eco-friendly and last but not least the breakfast simply delicious. Highly recommended.
