Mid-week self-service staff could be less abrupt and more welcoming. A simple smile would make a significant difference. Additionally, the entrance is often filled with cigarette smoke drifting from the bench outside or wafting from the building's side, frequently originating from staff. Just go to the Wadebridge store instead.

Complaint regarding a Tesco colleague – 22 August, approximately 11am–12pm I would like to make a complaint regarding the behaviour of one of your colleagues at the store on 22 August between approximately 11am and 12pm. The colleague was an older woman with short hair. On two separate occasions she was pushing trollies and was extremely rude and unpleasant towards us. She told us to “get out the way” and was also making insulting comments under her breath towards us. The reason for this behaviour appeared to be that we were eating products outside the store that we had actually purchased from Tesco. We were not causing any disruption, yet we were treated incredibly disrespectfully on both occasions. I was going to raise the issue with customer service at the time, but the queue at the service desk was very long, so I was unable to do so. I find this behaviour completely unacceptable, particularly from a member of staff representing Tesco. I would appreciate this being investigated and the colleague being spoken to seriously about the way she treats customers. Staff should be able to address customers if there is an issue without being rude, insulting or making comments under their breath. I hope this matter is taken seriously and that appropriate action is taken.
