  PLEASE NOTE, DO NOT USE THIS POST OFFICE, THEY MANAGED TO LOSE A VERY IMPORTANT PRIVATE LETTER, WHICH WAS 24 HOUR TRACKED, I WOULD PERSONALLY GIVE THE SPAR SHOP AT BAY VIEW ROAD MINUS 5 STARS

  The spar is a good shop (4 stars), but the attached post office is terrible (0 Stars). I just go to Looe and use the post office there.

  Would have given the staff zero stars if I could. I cannot believe that I have been twice now over as many days to use the post office facilities and on both occasions the post office was shut, once because it needed two staff to stock a fridge with milk! One obviously needs to hold the door open for the other to put the milk in and the second time was to balance the money. Apparently I should know that this happens every Tuesday between 10.30am & 12 noon, because they display a notice saying so! No apology or explanation is required just a cocky member of staff smirking at you is all that's required! This Post Office is shut more than it's open so take it from me, don't bother going! Ironically, on my way through to Plymouth I stopped off at a smaller shop in Landrake with similar Post Office facilities, & guess what! They were not shut for balancing their money, nor did I see any notices to say they did so, at any other time during post office hours. The staff member there came out to serve me & was happy to do so & friendly into the bargain. I'll be going there in future or Quayside Fresh ! Don't just take my word for how shockingly bad they are here, read what others have to say too!

  The post office is unreliable. Took a large letter in to be weighed and measured and paid first class, letter took a week to arrive and the recipient had to pay a charge due to insufficient postage ...poor service!

  Shop closes at 9.55pm. Not 10pm. This needs reflecting in the current advertised opening times... just rang at 9.49 to say my local shop closed early and could i grab somd milk for my toddler.. was told doors would be closed in 4 mins (even though closing time is advertised as 10pm)? I arrived 2 mins and 25 seconds later at 9.51-52 to be told to hurry up otherwise me and my child would be locked in... id barely stepped through the door! Grabbed milk , paid and was OUT of the door by 9.55pm.... the slightly fat, grey member of staff made my daughter cry and was incredibly rude to us. When i gently suggested that if they are locking the doors between 9.50-9.55pm, then they really should STOP advertising their "closing time" as 10PM - the door was abruptly slammed in my face. Have seen other locals treated in the same way. But the false advertising really needs sorting as its causing so many issues.. it could be solved so very easily too! Fml/smh.
