- YPyvonne pinningtonMay 10, 20261.0My husband and i wanted to buy a meal deal, we managed to choose a sandwich ok but could not choose any crisps or drink because the assistant was topping cabinet up. The assistant could see we were waiting yet made no attempt to move herself or the trolley aside. Eventually my husband stetched across in a small gap and grabbed what was closest to him, yet she still did not move. Went to the counter to pay and she came over with a scowl on her face as if we were a hindrance to her. Ive shopped in Greggs many times and have always had great customer service. If the assistant doesn't like her job or serving customers she should look for a job that is more suited to her, preferably not customer service. This happened on Sunday 10th May and it was our 1st visit and will never go back to that store.

What happens to your leftover food?
We’ve been donating unsold food for a long time. Originally our bakeries would team up with large charities who would help distribute it to smaller organisations.
This process remains in place, though we’ve also worked hard to increase the amount of unsold food donated by our shops and we currently support a network of 1,077 local good causes.
In 2022, we redistributed 1,800 tonnes of unsold food through our Outlet shops. A share of the profits from the outlets, totalling £450,000, was then donated back into the communities we serve.
