- PYPete YoungJul 20, 20265.0My first visit was a "one off", but I find myself drawn back to the place. Nice people, nice ambience, a proper pub managed by a proper landlord who knows how to store and serve a drink properly. A unique selling point in my view is that main meals such as fish n chips, lasagne and veg or diced steak pie with with veg are all £5.25 and of a better quality than higher priced meals in pubs in town and more often served in a more timely manner. Suitable for families and groups of civilised folk, coarse language and behaviour likely to upset other customers never happens. Happy to recommend to anyone decent.

- EDEsme DeeFeb 19, 20171.0don't even bother coming in here if you're under 21 or look under 21 as the landlord will refuse to look at your perfectly valid ID and kick you out. didn't even have a chance to open my mouth and begin to order a drink before I was rudely shouted at and told to leave the premises with two other friends. all of us were of age yet he continued to tirade us and plainly refused to look at our ID when he suggested that he could challenge anyone who looks under 21. horribly rude staff, disgusting place, wish there was an option for 0 stars.
