A lovely place which is very popular with people using the canal. Always boats moored outside. Its roomy inside and the tables are well situated. Great for lunch, dinner or a drink. There's plenty of room outside.

We arrived by Narrowboat on a Tuesday evening we popped in to book a table and asked about mooring up for the night the staff were warm and friendly and booked us in quickly and said the overnight mooring was not a problem. We arrived for the meal and was given the choice of table the evening was fairly quiet. Starter drinks and mains we all ordered and after a short wait the starters arrived. Promptly followed by the mains dispite the fact we were still eating the starters. I had the ham hock and my partner had a rump steak either of which came with any greens or side salad. We asked if we could order a side of greens to add some colour and veg to the plate but they don't do sides of vegetables. Not even some garden peas. So all in all the welcome was friendly the premises were clean and the service was good. But the food while cooked well lacks balance and the slice of lemon meringue pie was the smallest I have ever seen if it was half an inch at the thick end I would ve surprised. We had heard so much about the Barbridge Inn but probably wouldn't stop by again but carry on to Nantwich instead.

Just had a Sunday lunch today, after reading some reviews we were hesitant.
The service was amazing, all staff were very friendly and helpful.
All our food was high quality, the only thing I can moan about is I had to pay extra for more gravy, but that's because I like a lot. My husband was happy with the amount he had.
We will definitely be gong back to try a mid week meal. Well done all staff.

It was probably a bad day for the staff. We (3) entered the pub looking for a table to eat in. The lady in charge was Olympically ignoring us. It was obvious she didn't want us there. We kept patiently waiting until a gentleman had to stand from his table to ask the waitress whether someone was going to take his order. The lady in charge then said to him that the kitchen was hot (not sure what it meant) and they can't take orders at the moment. Meanwhile we were patiently waiting for a table. No one came to explain the situation. Obviously we had to leave.
