- KCKarl C.3 days ago5.0Originally, we were going to go to the Bridge Inn pub in Tarvin, but discover it wasn't opening until 3pm and so we thought we would try The Piper for lunch instead. Our burgers were very delicious (I had the Cheese & Bacon and my mum opted for the Chilli Nacho Burger), even though my mum said it could of been more chilli hot. The barman (sorry I didn't catch his name) was very friendly and welcoming (I hope he managed to resolve the sockets situation behind the bar 😉). The atmosphere was quiet, but very pleasant. Overall, we glad we ended up at The Piper and certainpy be back again soon.

As a registered Coeliac, my wife saw this eatery online so, as there were good reviews, we gave it a go. It's pretty awkward to find as, well, it's in a great spot but just sitting on a mad junction, I'm glad we went on a Saturday at 6.00pm ish and not at peak rush hour time. Outside is a board advertising gluten free food so, still looking promising. All staff were courteous and the food arrived at the usual time you'd normally wait. I had fish and chips WITH gluten free vinegar and my wife had Katsu chicken and she was blown away. My portion (I felt) wasn't enough but, realistically, it was ample as it was just I'd fasted all day - YIKES !!! When we had finished, the co-owner introduced herself and explained that they have FIVE Coeliacs in the family so they know what they're about. Another plus point is that they play good old 1960s/1970s/1980s music, ya know, the stuff EVERYONE knows and likes so you are at ease with that too. There's also free WiFi. Later and today (Sun 16th August) I am pleased to say that I have had NO issues whatsoever so da iawn iawn i bawb yna !!!
- NHNicholas HaweAug 24, 20265.0Never been before, but will definitely return. We went for a birthday event on a Monday, but arrived a bit early. We were welcomed in and had some drinks. There was an offer on for two Pub Classic meals for £15 so we tried it. Best value ever! The Chicken Gyros was delicious and the Steak and Ale pie was too. In fact, lots of the birthday party attendees ate and everyone enjoyed their food. The place is clean, welcoming, with great staff and decent prices for food and drinks. We will return.
