From the moment I arrived, he was friendly, welcoming, and genuinely enthusiastic in helping customers. His positive attitude and professionalism really stood out and made a lasting impression. In a world where great customer service can sometimes be hard to find, Ben delivered one of the best customer service experiences I’ve had in a long time. He was approachable, polite, patient, and made every customer feel valued. It was clear that he takes real pride in his work and cares about providing an excellent experience for everyone who walks through the door. What impressed me most was how naturally he engaged with customers while remaining efficient and professional. He created a friendly atmosphere and represented Greggs exceptionally well. Team members like Ben are the reason customers keep coming back. Ben is a huge asset to your business and a real credit to Greggs. The tall slender guy with dark hair serving me basically made a gun gesture to his head on the sly and after making the sandwich and was making the drinks, he looked at me to pay but I said I hadn’t scanned the app yet. He rolled his eyes very obviously and sighed extremely loudly and was like “you can scan it whenever” in such a passive aggressive way. Usually when I go in I’m asked if I have the app, he didn’t do that. He’s served me before so he must have assumed I knew that but the attitude was not on and to be honest I didn’t deserve that.

We’ve been donating unsold food for a long time. Originally our bakeries would team up with large charities who would help distribute it to smaller organisations.
This process remains in place, though we’ve also worked hard to increase the amount of unsold food donated by our shops and we currently support a network of 1,077 local good causes.
In 2022, we redistributed 1,800 tonnes of unsold food through our Outlet shops. A share of the profits from the outlets, totalling £450,000, was then donated back into the communities we serve.
