Group of 9 went yesterday for Father’s Day after waiting for 2hrs for food we decided to leave , after only receiving two of our starters.
With lack of updates from staff on what was happening it was very frustrating people all around was also waiting for their food.
We used to come eat here often as it’s always been great but it totally ruined Father’s Day for us,with 9 people going home hungry we won’t be returning any time soon .

Very disappointed today. The service was terrible waited over an hour for food. Table next to me waited 2 hours they ended up walking out. I went to pay for the drinks we had and just then the food was ready. We stayed and eat the food, nothing special. Felt sorry for bar staff everyone complaining. It was the kitchen that was the problem. Come on Boars Head get in touch with head office before you loose your lovely pub.

Waited 90 minutes for food, no communication from staff; unhelpful. Received starters and food after 1 hour and left after having to wait too long. Forgot a starter also

Ate here on 17/06/26. Good offer for food sun-thu on meals which were really good value for money. All food is home made and staff friendly in a pub which is in a perfect location for a canal side walk. Well worth a visit

The Boar's Head is a lovely family and dog friendly pub. We had lunch here with friends and their dog, so Diane and her colleague looked after both dogs and both kids brilliantly. Very attentive and friendly service. I'm vegan and there were plenty of options to choose from depending on the size of the meal I fancied. The kids portions were good too. Lovely food! We'll be back 👏🏼
