- RBRuth BradshawJan 12, 20261.0I had quite an unpleasant experience on Sunday afternoon 11th January. I went to pay at the checkout. I don’t like using the self-service points. The’ assistant’ put my goods through and told me the total price. I didn’t know where to scan my Clubcard so he gesticulated to the other side but I could not get it to work. He then just gesticulated to another point beyond the screen dividing me and him, which was literally right in front of him. Normally, in this situation, and it’s happened quite a lot, the assistant takes my card from me and does it him or herself as it’s so near to them and quite a distance for me to reach through the screen. He just stood there. I asked him why he couldn’t help me. He very reluctantly did. I then paid and he wandered off without asking me if I wanted a receipt. I called him over saying that I wanted a receipt. He produced a receipt and left it on his side of the screen. Extremely rude. In hindsight, I should’ve called the manager. I was very angry. I asked him what other part of his job I could do for him and what I had to do on his side of the screen It’ll be a while before I go into that Co-op again and certainly wont be served by Sam.
