  Disappointing customer service overall. While some of the self-checkout staff have been friendly, helpful, and communicated well, and the shop floor staff were always helpful when I asked for assistance, that hasn't been my experience with everyone. Some self-checkout staff seem to spend more time watching customers than offering help, making people feel under suspicion rather than welcome. The store is covered in CCTV, yet you'd think someone was about to make a daring escape with a chicken fillet tucked under their arm. Some of the younger staff also came across as rude or dismissive, with no basic greeting at the checkout. A little courtesy, professionalism, and good communication cost nothing and would make a big difference.

  Nothing but friendliness & kindness experienced here. Staff are always lovely & ask how I am. Will continue to use this store regularly 🙏

  Tesco exchange street macclesfield....I was very dismayed to see a customer buying 60 bags of the 15p offer onions.....It was obvious that the purchaser was from a local restaurant.when i queried this with the shop assistant how outrageous this was and there should be some sort of limit on the amount veg on offer people can buy, she told me that the same person had been in a short while earlier and purchased another 30 bags of the same 15p onions. 90 bags of onions to supply a local restaurant is ridiculous and is not helping the local community one bit. No wonder that items go out of stock if there is no monitoring going on. This is disgraceful behaviour .!!!

  Just want to thank whoever helped my elderly Aunt had breathing difficulties and a member of staff sat her down sorted her shopping out really appreciate it X
