The young man at the till told me this is not the case, as it's only when authorised personnel are working and this is fairly infrequent. He then told me to come back tomorrow and use the post office for collection. I think he was missing the point. I know I can do that but for convenience wanted to collect it in the evening.

Waited inline to get served, young lad standing at the counter waiving a wad of money manager and cashier talking with the young lad for a couple of minutes. Manager leaves knowing I was waiting to be served. Cashier and young lad continue talking and slowly processing his sale, in all it must have been a five minute wait that showed no sign of a conclusion. Result…. Chucked paracetamol on the counter and walked out to chemist next door. Got served within seconds…… Coop need to realise customer is king, and the serving counter isn’t at chat up counter.
