I ordered an Easter biscuit and a cherry & mango cooler, and attempted to use a free drink reward from the Greggs app. Initially I was told I would be charged full price, and only after questioning this was the issue challenged. The shift manager then claimed that iced drinks weren’t included in the offer, which contradicts my experience using the same reward at other Greggs locations. I’ve worked at Greggs previously, so I am familiar with how these rewards typically work. Despite this, the manager was dismissive and quite rude in how he handled the situation, even stating I was wrong and misleading his staff. To resolve the issue, I asked for the items to be processed separately - and the free drink reward worked without any problem, confirming it was eligible all along. Overall, the management came across as unprofessional and poorly informed, which resulted in unnecessary confusion and a negative customer experience. Staff should be properly trained on promotions and customer service needs improvement. Disappointing visit considering the brand.

We’ve been donating unsold food for a long time. Originally our bakeries would team up with large charities who would help distribute it to smaller organisations.
This process remains in place, though we’ve also worked hard to increase the amount of unsold food donated by our shops and we currently support a network of 1,077 local good causes.
In 2022, we redistributed 1,800 tonnes of unsold food through our Outlet shops. A share of the profits from the outlets, totalling £450,000, was then donated back into the communities we serve.
