  Not really a.place to stay if you are attending a large event 4 milese.down the road, super trowel.2026, the largest building event in europe and your bar closes at 9pm. The heatfordshire county show ground has lots of events but the pub doesn't cater for this and people cannot get a drink. The grounds and gardens are very untiday, cigarette ends all over, shruba growing wild, litter strewn across the placr, i know its tagged to the hotel but i have also called them out too. Staff wwre goos but waiting to be served was as issue, its as if costs are being cut.

  Food microwave. Lasagne alright. Onion rings soggy. Was a good place to eat. Now gone down as closing soon

  We had a fabulous time here for lunch. We love the £5.99 lunch menu and invited friends to meet up with us. The restaurant was very busy, probably due to the air conditioning and bargain food. The waitress (Tina, I think) did a brilliant job of juggling lots of orders with a cheerful smile. We all loved our food and received fabulous service. One of our friends loved it so much that she has subsequently gone back 3 days on a row to try the rest of the menu! Highly recommended for a delicious lunch at reasonable prices in a cool environment.

  Such a shame this pub is closing soon, we only discovered it yesterday. Went with some friends, nice and clean, good selection on the menu at prices that cater for everyone. Drink order taken quickly, and food arrived in good time. Steak was cooked how i asked for it, and hubby's mixed grill the same. The chain has a good loyalty scheme in place aswell.
