About

BakeryGreggs
Greggs is a British food to go brand, specialising in fresh bakes, sandwiches, hot drinks and sweet treats. Founded in 1939, Greggs started out selling eggs and yeast by pushbike, ten years later the first shop opened on Gosforth High Street, in Newcastle. Now, over 80 years later Greggs is a household name thanks to their tasty Sausage Rolls, Steak Bakes, Chicken Bakes, Doughnuts, Yum Yums and freshly ground Fairtrade Coffee. With shops across the UK, you're never far away from a Greggs. And with new offerings like Click + Collect and delivery to your door with Just Eat, it's never been easier to get your flakey fix. The Greggs App gives customers tasty rewards every time they shop. From sandwiches to sweet treats, hot drinks and bakes, each time you buy a product, you'll get a stamp. Collect nine stamps in a category, and the tenth item will be free. New customers can also get a free hot drink of their choice, just for downloading the app. The Greggs Foundation aims to build stronger, healthier communities across nine principle programmes including 'The Breakfast Club programme', which helps primary school children get a nutritious start to their school day. Today there are over 680 Breakfast Clubs across the UK, serving wholesome, free breakfasts to around 44,000 children every school day- that's 8.5 million meals a year.

For some reason, every time i manage to make my way back to this gregs, the food has always been cold. Never very appealing and would reccomend elsewhere.

The food will be cold when when stated as hot! But thats a standard for Greg's these days the ladies in there are fantastic the atmosphere is dead or full of old people having a tea or a spot to eat.

Great place but often gets busy around peak times and therefore creates a huge queue. It's quite small so it can get cramped. Three small tables if you need to sit but not always available.

I went few minutes ago to this branch & I was greeted with a very disgusting hateful look from one of the staff I had to look back at him then he changed his way of looking at me. The way he looked like you are not welcome like he wants to say I'm going to kill you. it's some sort of racism I think or he just have a mental problem. He was old man. I feel sorry for him & hope that he get the mental helth care needed but those kinds of people not suppose to be allowed to work in public areas as he might cause damage to the shop reputation. I'm not going back as I don't feel safe. I do not care if you respond or no but I had to give bad review to the service because of that strange person. So people don't have to deal with that kind of filthy attitude.

Frequently Asked Questions About Greggs

What are your opening times?

Opening times for all Greggs shops can be found on our Shop Finder. Just enter your location into the search bar to find opening times, contact details and available facilities.

What happens to your leftover food?

We’ve been donating unsold food for a long time. Originally our bakeries would team up with large charities who would help distribute it to smaller organisations. This process remains in place, though we’ve also worked hard to increase the amount of unsold food donated by our shops and we currently support a network of 1,077 local good causes. In 2022, we redistributed 1,800 tonnes of unsold food through our Outlet shops. A share of the profits from the outlets, totalling £450,000, was then donated back into the communities we serve. We’re no longer taking new applications for end-of-day food donation partners, but we continue to identify regions where our shops could support a local charitable collection.
