Greggs is a British food to go brand, specialising in fresh bakes, sandwiches, hot drinks and sweet treats. Founded in 1939, Greggs started out selling eggs and yeast by pushbike, ten years later the first shop opened on Gosforth High Street, in Newcastle. Now, over 80 years later Greggs is a household name thanks to their tasty Sausage Rolls, Steak Bakes, Chicken Bakes, Doughnuts, Yum Yums and freshly ground Fairtrade Coffee. With shops across the UK, you're never far away from a Greggs. And with new offerings like Click + Collect and delivery to your door with Just Eat, it's never been easier to get your flakey fix. The Greggs App gives customers tasty rewards every time they shop. From sandwiches to sweet treats, hot drinks and bakes, each time you buy a product, you'll get a stamp. Collect nine stamps in a category, and the tenth item will be free. New customers can also get a free hot drink of their choice, just for downloading the app. The Greggs Foundation aims to build stronger, healthier communities across nine principle programmes including 'The Breakfast Club programme', which helps primary school children get a nutritious start to their school day. Today there are over 680 Breakfast Clubs across the UK, serving wholesome, free breakfasts to around 44,000 children every school day- that's 8.5 million meals a year.

Me and my partner came in, ordered two drinks and a bacon roll. We were served by Rob who is one of the managers. He took our order and walked away. The machines were loud and there were people chatting away, including me and my partner. All of a sudden there’s a very loud, very abrupt, “HELLO!?” from across the room. Made me jump out of my skin. We looked over and it’s Rob, holding up a cup holder and asking with some attitude “do you want a cup holder” we said no- in total shock. He then faced away from us and asked “chocolate on the cappuccino?” I could barely hear the man. He came back over with our order as if nothing happened, as if he didn't just yell at us from across the room and draw everyone’s attention. Surely the correct thing to do would be to either ask these questions whilst taking our order, or to walk the three steps back to us and ask us face to face in a polite manner. I dread to think how he treats people with hearing impairments! Would he yell at them too? Totally unprofessional, rude, and lazy. My partner said Rob was also the one to give him a lot of attitude when he asked for less ice in the drink a few weeks ago. The rest of the staff are always polite, and the lady manager is wonderful. But I think Rob needs some more training. Food is always lovely, wait time is short. But could do without being yelled at.

Thought I had a good waitress serve me.
Been out for a walk, took lemon squash in a Lucosade bottle which was just a quarter full. Wife sat down with the said bottle, I ordered 2 drinks and 2 bakes then sat down to enjoy them. Got home Checked my order and found that I was charged for a bottle of Lucozade.£2
If the waitress had a problem with my squash in the Lucozade bottle she should have asked, not just add to my order.
Left me feeling robbed, when all she had to do was ask, I could have shown her the bottle I took in with me!
Very poor service Greggs

What happens to your leftover food?
We’ve been donating unsold food for a long time. Originally our bakeries would team up with large charities who would help distribute it to smaller organisations.
This process remains in place, though we’ve also worked hard to increase the amount of unsold food donated by our shops and we currently support a network of 1,077 local good causes.
In 2022, we redistributed 1,800 tonnes of unsold food through our Outlet shops. A share of the profits from the outlets, totalling £450,000, was then donated back into the communities we serve.
We’re no longer taking new applications for end-of-day food donation partners, but we continue to identify regions where our shops could support a local charitable collection. To find out more or nominate an organisation visit: https://www.greggsfoundation.org.uk/unsold-food-donations.
Why do you have different prices regionally?
It is very common for retailers to have regional prices. This is because the costs of running a business can vary across different parts of the country and in certain locations, for example rent costs. We always keep our prices as low as possible for our customers.
